Iran Press/ Middle East: Imam Khomeini, the great founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran, named the last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan as the International Quds Day in order to revive the fundamental issue of Palestine and consolidate the solidarity of Muslims with the Palestinians and mobilize forces to save Quds from the Israeli occupation.
Ibrahim al-Mousavi, a member of the faction loyal to the resistance in the Lebanese parliament, in an exclusive interview with Iran Press reporter, underlined the importance of naming the International Quds Day, noting Imam Khomeini did a great favor to the Islamic nation and by standing up against arrogance, Islamic issues especially he restored the issue of Palestine and Quds for the Islamic Ummah.
Al-Mousavi stated that the truth and justice survived by naming Quds Day, and highlighted, "If there was no initiative to name the International Quds Day, today the true meaning of Bait-ul-Muqaddas would have been destroyed by the conspiracies of the arrogant".
Hezbollah's representative in the Lebanese Parliament stated that International Quds Day is a blessed day for all Arabs and Islamic Ummah and all free people, which was created by the initiative of Imam Khomeini.
Ibrahim Al-Mousavi emphasized that the gathering and rallies on Quds Day and supporting Al-Aqsa Mosque and Bait-ul- Muqaddas and the continuation of the path of resistance among the young generation continue today, and this shows that the initiative of Imam Khomeini has revived the Palestinian issue.
The member of the faction loyal to the resistance in the Lebanese Parliament said that International Quds Day is a day for the revival of Islamic values and principles, and naming such a day with the aim of liberating Bait-ul-Muqaddas shows the depth of understanding of Imam Khomeini.
