Qatar's Foreign Ministry Spokesman Majed bin Mohammed al-Ansari has denied information about the Hamas political bureau office closure in Doha.

Iran Press/West Asia: "The information about the Hamas office in Doha is not true," the diplomat said on his X page. He emphasized that the main purpose of locating the Hamas political bureau office in Doha was to maintain "a channel of communication between the parties concerned."

Recently, several news sources reported that Qatar requested Hamas leaders to relocate the political office of the group outside the country at the behest of the United States.

According to the spokesman, this channel of communication ensured "the ceasefire in the previous stages."

Hamas' political office has been operating in Doha since 2012 when the movement's leadership was forced to leave its headquarters in Damascus due to the Syrian war. Qatar has provided political asylum to Hamas leaders, becoming a platform for the movement's representation abroad.
