Tehran(IP): Aide to the President of Russia arrived in Tehran to meet and talk with the officials of the Islamic Republic of Iran about the expansion of bilateral cooperation.

Iran PressIran News: "According to Iran Press news agency, Igor Levitin, Aide to the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, arrived in Tehran on a two-day trip on Friday night.

Sputnik news agency also wrote that Levitin will meet with Iranian officials in two days to discuss the implementation of joint plans between the two countries.

According to this report, Aide to the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin is going to meet and talk with "Mohammed Mokhber", the first vice president, and "Mehrdad Bazarpash", the Minister of Roads and Urban Development of Iran.

On Sunday, Aide to the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin will meet and talk with "Ali Shamkhani", the secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council.

According to Igor Levitin's schedule of meetings, the main talks will be about the North-South Corridor rail project and Russia's participation in it.

The North-South International Transport Corridor Agreement in 2010 was signed by the Ministers of Transport of the three countries of Iran, India, and Russia in St. Petersburg, Russia. It is a multi-modal route from St. Petersburg, Russia to the port of Mumbai (India) with a length of 7,200 kilometers.

This corridor is an alternative to the sea route of the Suez Canal, which connects Europe, the countries of the Persian Gulf and the Indian Ocean.
