IP - Russian President Vladimir Putin met with high-ranking BRICS representatives on security at the Konstantinovsky Palace.

Iran Press/Europe: The two-day 14th meeting of BRICS representatives kicked off the day before under the chairmanship of Russian Security Council Secretary Sergey Shoigu.

Russia holds the BRICS chairmanship this year.

The Russian president met with the representatives in the Marble Hall of the Konstantinovsky Palace. After the meeting with them.

The Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council (SNSC), Ali Akbar Ahmadian attended the BRICS Security Summit.

Earlier, the Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of Iran met with Sergei Shoigu, the Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of Russia.

Ahmadian also met Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi and Jose Adelino Ornelas Ferreira the Secretary General of the National Defense Council of Venezuela in separate meetings.

After the meeting, Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) Ali Akbar Ahmadian held a separate meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Thursday.

According to Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov, among the topics of the current meeting are the parameters of the future world order, overcoming the rule-based order imposed by the West, development of multipolarity, and coordination of actions in conditions of confrontation and unpredictability in world affairs.

Putin in the meeting said: "I want to emphasize that the meeting of high-ranking representatives is a crucial step in preparing for the BRICS summit and BRICS Plus/Outreach, scheduled to take place in Kazan, Russia, on October 22–24."

"Please convey to your country’s leaders that we look forward to their participation in the summit. We plan to discuss in depth the future expansion of the comprehensive partnership among BRICS member countries and to finalize a package of agreements covering various sectors and areas of cooperation," He added.
