Iran Press/Africa: Sudanese people in various cities, including Khartoum, participated in mass demonstrations condemning the military coup carried out by Sudanese Armed Forces Commander Abdel Fattah al-Burhan.
Sudanese protesters have vowed to continue protests to overthrow the curfew; the Sudanese people stated in the demonstration that power is in the hands of the people.
Meanwhile, Sudanese military and security forces attacked protesters in Khartoum and other cities. Some news sources reported that ten people were killed and more than 100 were injured during the attacks.
Dozens of Sudanese living in France rallied outside the Sudan embassy in Paris on Saturday evening to protest against the military coup in Sudan.
Sudan has been on edge since a failed coup plot last month unleashed bitter recriminations between military and civilian groups meant to be sharing power following the 2019 ouster of former Leader Omar al-Bashir. Bashir was toppled and jailed after months of street protests.
