Iran Press/Iran news: The Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi is set to address the 77th Session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
In an interview with Iran Press, Abbas Moghtadaei elaborated on President Ebrahim Raisi's visit to New York, saying that the President's visit to the largest political gathering held at the United Nations headquarters can have great achievements for the Iranian nation.
He pointed out: We are considered an emerging power in the region, and the US has made a lot of effort to realize their unilateralism in the region, but Iran has not let it happen by insisting on the countries' independence while maintaining security and peace.
He stressed that Iran, which has always been protecting regional peace and security, is talking to the world's nations.
Today, Iran's president is considered the one who, during the first year of his term of office, succeeded in negotiating with other nations, countries, and continents of the world to advance diplomatic ties,' the lawmaker told Iran Press correspondent.
He recalled that the UN should not be a place for a few world powers or pressure groups affecting the performance of many organizations, including the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).
