Iran news/ According to an Iran Press report, the Iranian president referred to his speech at the United Nations general assembly, and also his speech at a gathering in commemoration and honour of former South African leader, Nelson Mandela, emphasising the isolation of United States within the international community.
President Rouhani also referred to a moment when world leaders and diplomats at the UN general assembly in New York openly laughed at US president, Donald Trump, deriding him when he claimed his administration had accomplished more than almost any other in US history. The Iranian president also highlighted Trump's chairmanship of the UN security council, and last Wednesday’s security council session, pointing out that the session did not turn out as Donald Trump intended and instead Trump’s isolation at the UN over his unilateral policies, withdrawal from international accords, and protectionism was all too evident.

President Rouhani also referred to his 17 meetings with world leaders, and heads of state of various countries where he discussed bilateral ties as well as important regional and international issues. He also referred to his television interviews with CNN , NBC, and PBS, as well as his meetings with Muslim community leaders in America, and foreign policy experts.

On his return to Mehrabad airport, Eshaq Jahangiri, first vice president, and Ali Akbar Velayati senior advisor to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, and a number of Cabinet ministers, officially welcomed President Rouhani on his return to Tehran.
On the last day of his stay, President Rouhani participated in a press conference and responded to reporters' questions.
The 73rd session of the UN General Assembly (UNGA 73) opened on 18 September 2018. The first day of the high-level General Debate is today,Tuesday, 25 September 2018, and is scheduled to last for nine working days.
