Iran Press/ Iran news: "On behalf of the Iranian nation, I would like to express sympathy and condolences to your Excellency and the friendly and brotherly nation of Pakistan," Ebrahim Raisi wrote in a message to Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Sunday.
Raisi condemned the terrorist and indiscriminate act of terrorism, saying, "We believe that such inhumane and criminal acts will yield no result but a disgrace to its perpetrators and agents behind it."
At least 40 people killed and more than 130 injured after a powerful bomb ripped through a political rally in northwestern Pakistan, officials said.
There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the attack, but local authorities said the explosion was caused by a suicide bomb.
