Tehran(IP)- In separate messages on Monday, Iran's President expressed his condolences to the presidents and people of Türkiye and Syria and announced the country's readiness to provide them with emergency relief aid.

Iran PressIran news: An earthquake with a magnitude of 7.4 on the Richter scale shook several provinces in the south of Türkiye bordering Syria today and has caused heavy casualties and financial losses in both countries.

The exact amount of financial losses in this incident has not yet been published, but the number of casualties and injuries is increasing every moment.

The death toll from the earthquake in Türkiye and Syria has reached 630 people so far.

Ebrahim Raisi, in separate messages to the Presidents of Türkiye and Syria, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Bashar al-Assad expressed his condolences to the governments and people of these countries for the heart rendering incident of the earthquake in the two countries, which killed and injured a significant number of their citizens, as well as causing a lot of damage.

The President of the Republic of Iran also voiced the readiness of the country to provide emergency relief aid to these two friendly nations in the current unfortunate situation.
