President Masoud Pezeshkian arrived in Kazan, Russia, to participate in the 16th BRICS Summit. Upon arrival, he was greeted by senior officials of Russia's Tatarstan region and treated with traditional local sweets.

 Iran Press/Europe: Accompanying President Pezeshkian are the Minister of Economic Affairs and Finance, the Minister of Oil (who also chairs the Iranian side of the Iran-Russia Joint Economic Cooperation Commission), the Chief of Staff of the President, and the Deputy Head of the Presidential Office for Political Affairs. According to the Foreign Ministry spokesperson, Iran's Foreign Minister, Dr. Abbas Araghchi, after holding intensive consultations with officials from Bahrain and Kuwait, is en route to Kazan to join the Iranian delegation at the BRICS summit.

On Wednesday, President Pezeshkian will deliver a speech at the main BRICS summit, which brings together the leaders of BRICS member states. In addition to Pezeshkian, the presidents of Russia, China, South Africa, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, and the prime minister of India will attend. Brazil's foreign minister will also be present, representing the Brazilian president, who is absent for medical reasons. The central theme of the summit will be "Strengthening Multilateralism."

On Thursday, October 24, the Iranian president will participate in the BRICS Plus Summit, which includes countries interested in collaborating with the BRICS alliance, under the banner of "BRICS and the Global South." 

According to the Deputy Head of the Presidential Office for Political Affairs, President Pezeshkian will deliver three speeches at various BRICS meetings and hold bilateral talks with the leaders of Russia, China, India, Egypt, and other nations to foster relations. Mehdi Sanaei, a senior advisor, emphasized the significance of this summit for advancing regional diplomacy and addressing critical global challenges.
