Stating that Serbia is a friend of Iran in difficult times, President Masoud Pezeshkian mentioned his chairmanship of the parliamentary friendship group of the two countries during his term as a member of the parliament and said, "Expanding the parliamentary cooperation between the two countries is effective in improving relations in all aspects".

Iran Press/Europe: On Wednesday morning, Masoud Pezeshkian met with Aleksandar Vulin, the Deputy Prime Minister of Serbia, who has traveled to Tehran to attend the swearing-in ceremony of the 14th term of the presidency of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and thanked the congratulatory message of the country's president and described Serbia as Iran's friend in difficult times and stressed on efforts to improve the relations between the two countries as much as possible.

Referring to his chairmanship of the parliamentary friendship group of the two countries during his term as a member of the parliament and said, "Expanding the parliamentary cooperation between the two countries is effective in improving relations in all aspects".

Saying that the Islamic Republic of Iran has been the target of false and unrealistic propaganda as well as the pressure and sanctions of greedy countries due to its desire for independence, Pezeshkian added, "The great nation of Iran hates any kind of aggression and cannot be indifferent towards the Zionist regime's crimes against humanity in Gaza".

In this meeting, the Deputy Prime Minister of Serbia, Aleksandar Vulin, also congratulated the election of Dr Pezeshkian to the presidency of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and pointed out that he is familiar with Serbia due to his chairmanship of the parliamentary friendship group between the two countries, and stated, "We have a proverb that says you don't need to be strong yourself, but it is enough to have strong friends and we are happy that today we have another strong close friend at the international level".

The Deputy Prime Minister of Serbia stated that his country adheres to the implementation of all its commitments and agreements with Iran, and said, "Although we are in the European continent, we have never joined the policies and actions of European countries in the direction of promoting Iranophobia and seek to expand relations with Iran in economic, cultural and political fields".
