Iran Press/ Iran news: The second phase of Tehran the 7th Water Treatment Plant was opened in the Pakdasht city with the aim of providing drinking water to the southern districts of Tehran and the southeastern cities of Tehran province with Iranian President Hassan Rouhani in attendance.
With the start of this project, the drinking water of Pakdasht, Varamin, Qarchak and Pishva cities will be improved.
After unveiling the opening tablet, the president visited various parts of the water treatment plant.
Operating this project at a capacity of five cubic meters per second, it covers two million people in the areas of Qiyamdasht, Khavarshahr, Khavaran, Nazi Abad, Shush, Yaft Abad, Pakdasht, Varamin, Qarchak, Baqerabad and Kheirabad.
The refinery was designed in two modules, the first of which was launched in January 2015 by the President and the construction of the second module started in 2017. The water transmission network from the treatment plant to Pishwa will also be operational for the next two months.
Water supply projects will also be launched today in the cities of Pakdasht, Qarchak, Varamin and Pishva, as well as 72 villages, as well as electricity and renewable power projects.
