Iran Press/ Iran news: Speaking at the ceremony of renewing allegiance to the late founder of the Islamic Revolution Imam Khomeini and martyrs’ causes on Sunday, President Hassan Rouhani said: "These days we are witnessing the great disgrace and hatred that has been recorded in history as the 'Deal of the Century', how disgusting it is for all Muslims and freedom-seekers around the world. Therefore, there is no other way than endurance, persistence, and unity."
"The oppressors have believed that our Islamic system is on the right track. They have believed that our policy should not be a policy of submission; however, we do not accept the politics of tension and confrontation. Our people know that today there is no other way than to stand up against the aggressors," added Rouhani.
"The aggressors who not only oppress our nation but all the Muslims of the world, especially the oppressed Palestinian nation," the President noted.
He said: "The Government of the Islamic Republic of Iran commits itself to continue its efforts to carry out Imam's orders and path with the guidance of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei."
He also referred to the great presence of the Iranian nation in the funeral ceremony of the Commander of IRGC Quds Force Lieutenant General Qasem Soleimani, saying that people's great attendance showed that the path of the Imam is being continued.
"Islam and republicanism are present among the people. When people see someone as a sign of the country's security and dignity, everyone stands by him and recognizes him as a national symbol," Rouhani added.
US President Donald Trump along with the Israeli regime's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu attended the White House last Tuesday and announced its plan so-called 'Deal of the Century'.
He declared that the city of al-Quds would remain the monolithic capital of the Zionist regime.
Recognizing the city of al-Quds as the Israeli capital, the annexation of 30 percent of the occupied West Bank to Israel, ignoring the Palestinian refugees' right of return and complete disarmament of Palestinian resistance groups are included in the Trump administration's so-called Middle East peace plan.
