Iran Press/Iran news: Speaking at the commemoration ceremony held in Tehran's Imam Khomeini's Hussainiah of Jamaran on Thursday for Lieutenant General Qassem Soleimani and his martyred companions, in the presence of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, officials, and the general public, Al-Fayyadh said the fact that the blood of these martyrs has been shed in a land which belongs to the Lord of the Martyrs (Imam Hussein), (PBUH), places a heavy responsibility on Iraq.
During the event which was attended by the heads of the three branches of the government, Iranian officials and people, Chairman of the Popular Mobilization Forces highlighted that the people of Iraq stand in solidarity together to mourn the loss of Lieutenant General Qassem Soleimani and declared their support of his actions.
Furthermore, commemorating the memory of martyred deputy chief of the Iraqi Popular Mobilization Forces, Abu Mahdi Al-Muhandis, Al-Fayyadh noted that he was the companion of Lieutenant General Soleimani in the fight against Takfiris and he sought security for the Iraqi people, and how befitting it is that in the end the two martyrs' blood and flesh were attached together. 205/211
