Iran Press/ Iran News: Hours after huge crowds of people took part in the funeral of Lieutenant General Qassem Soleimani the late commander of Quds Force of the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) and his martyred companions in Tehran in the morning, the glorious funeral procession of martyr Soleimani was held with the attendance of massive crowds in the holy city of Qom.
Hundreds of thousands of people from all walks of life take part in the martyred Lieutenant General Soleimani and his companions' funeral from the Shrine of Hazrat Masouma to Jamkaran Mosque on Monday night.
Ulamas, clerics, and seminaries also accompanied people in the funeral ceremony, announcing their hate to the global arrogance led by the US and renewing their allegiance to the martyrs' causes.
The United States forces assassinated Lieutenant General Qassem Soleimani and Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, the second-in-command of Iraq’s pro-government Popular Mobilization Units (PMU) — better known as Hashd al-Sha’abi — in an airstrike at Baghdad’s international airport early on Friday.
He was invited to Baghdad by Iraqi Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi to convey Iran's message to him on Iran and Saudi relations. As Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi said, Lieutenant General Soleimani was invited to Iraq to convey the message of Iranian officials about Tehran- Riyadh ties to the Iraqi Prime Minister.
In this regard, separate ceremonies were also held in Tehran, Mashhad, and Ahvaz. Tehran's Funeral was one of the world's largest funeral processions with the attendance of millions of Iranians.
