Algeria (IP) - The Foreign Ministers of Persian Gulf Cooperation Council (PGCC) member states welcomed the restoration of Iran-Saudi Arabia relations.

Iran PressAfrica: At the end of the meeting of the PGCC foreign ministers, attended by the US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, issued a statement, emphasizing the importance of joint efforts to reduce tensions in the region.

Announcing their support for the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT), they asked Iran to keep full cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).

The member states' FMs addressed the Syrian issue and stressed a political solution such that the unity and sovereignty of the country are preserved while stressing the political solution to the crisis going on in Syria. 

Regarding the Yemeni crisis also they emphasized that they support the sovereignty, independence, unity, and territorial integrity of Yemen. 

Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, UAE, and Oman are members of the Persian Gulf Cooperation Council.
