Persian Gulf has long witnessed US crimes in the region: Iran Foreign Ministry

Tehran (IP) - The Foreign Ministry of the Islamic Republic of Iran tweeted on Thursday marking the anniversary of the deliberate shooting down of a passenger plane of Iran by the United States, saying "The Persian Gulf has long witnessed American crimes in the region."

Iran Press/Iran news: The Iranian Foreign Ministry asked on Twitter what American human rights are? And replied: Unparalleled commitment to killing people!

"Persian Gulf has long witnessed US crimes in the region," the tweet highlighted.

"32yrs ago, the US deliberately shot down an Iranian airplane. 290 were killed. The US has not yet apologized nor embarrassed," concluded the tweet.

On July 3, 1988, an Iranian passenger plane was shut down by a US missile and all 290 passengers were killed.
