Iran Press/ Iran news: A helicopter carrying President Raisi, Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, the governor of East Azerbaijan Province, the Imam of Friday Prayer in Tabriz, and the chief of the presidential guard crashed in East Azerbaijan on May 19, martyring all on board. A special commission has been created to investigate the causes of the crash. First Vice President Mohammad Mokhber has been appointed as interim president, with elections scheduled for June 28.
Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, the leader of the Islamic Revolution, will perform funeral prayers on the body of the Martyr President Raisi and his companions tomorrow morning at the University of Tehran.
The ceremony starts at 7:30 in the morning.
