Iran Press/ Iran News: Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf on Monday in a video conference with the Chairman of the National People Congress of the People's Republic of China Li Zhanshu, while congratulating the Chinese New Year, said: "From the victory of the Islamic Revolution, relations between the two countries have entered in a new era in cooperation on various economic fields.”
Ghalibaf added: "The future belongs to Asia and independent countries, and we consider looking at the important civilizational, historical, cultural and economic sphere of the Asian continent as an important opportunity for the people of this vast continent."
The Iranian Parliament's Speaker also appreciated China's firm stance in rejecting sanctions against Iran and stressed: Tehran-Beijing friendly relations have not been and will not be affected by other countries and international conditions, and based on cooperation and common interests in all areas.
Referring to the 50th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between the two countries, the Chairman of the National People Congress of China, Li Zhanshu, stressed China's readiness to strengthen parliamentary cooperation.
