Rawalpindi (IP) - The ceremony commemorating the ancient Yalda Night on the longest night of the year was held by Iran Culture House in Rawalpindi, Pakistan.

The participants in the ceremony in Rawalpindi used Yalda rituals as an excuse to be together and use opportunities to expand friendships and kindness.

Yalda Night is known as the Meh-Fang Festival in some parts of Pakistan, and Pakistanis welcome the winter season with a family gathering on this night.

Faramarz Rahmanzad, the head of Iran's House of Culture in Rawalpindi, told Iran Press that with the global registration of the Yalda Night, the commemoration ceremony of the ancient ritual was held in Rawalpindi with the aim of promoting Iranian culture and tradition.
