Islamabad (IP) - Pakistan has welcomed the UN General Assembly's resolution for Israel's withdrawal from Palestinian territories and has expressed deep concerns over the ongoing situation in Syria.

Iran PressAsia: During the weekly briefing at the Foreign Office in Islamabad, Pakistan's Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch said, "We welcome yesterday's United Nations General Assembly resolution calling on Israeli authorities to withdraw from Palestinian territories and support the creation of a Palestinian state. The genocide in Gaza must end, with civilians being indiscriminately killed even in schools, hospitals, and refugee shelters. This humanitarian situation requires urgent international attention."

While addressing the situation in Syria during the weekly briefing, Mumtaz Zahra Baloch said, "Pakistan is deeply concerned about the latest developments in Syria. We believe the ongoing situation will further destabilize the region and embolden terrorist organizations. It is critical to promote peace and security in Syria for regional stability. We call for de-escalation and the upholding of Syria's unity, sovereignty, and territorial integrity."
