Tehran (IP) - Pakistan Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said, "Sanctions have a direct impact on average people, not only in Iran but also people of Pakistan and the region and we believe that these sanctions are counterproductive."

Iran PressIran news: In an exclusive interview with Iran Press during his two-day visit to Tehran Zardari said that it is very important for each country to give priority to people’s needs whether economic or security.

 He added: We believe in “dialogue” and” diplomacy” as two important tools to resolve disputes and conflicts.

Talking about Palestine he said that Pakistan believes in line with international laws and the UN charter, and Palestinians have the right to determine their own future.

Regarding Afghanistan he said, whatever happens, there has a direct impact on its neighbors, region, and the world at large.

People in Afghanistan are facing a humanitarian crisis and economic collapse, Pakistan’s FM added.

Talking about terrorism he said it's a challenge for our generation. Iran and Pakistan cooperate on this issue to increase security within their borders while consistent efforts by all countries are required, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari concluded.
