Over 200k passengers screened at Iran's PoEs

Tehran (IP) - The head of the Iranian Red Crescent Society for Rescue and Relief announced that more than 200,000 passengers were controlled at the country's points of entry (POE).

Iran PressIran News: 'Mehdi Valipour', head of Iran’s Red Crescent Society's Rescue and Relief Organization, announced the health control of 200,081 passengers entering the country at the official border checkpoints.

Valipour, emphasizing the continuation of the implementation of the passenger health control plan at the border checkpoints, added: "This plan started with the collaboration of the Ministry of Health, Treatment and Medical Education of Iran on March 1, 2021, and until the morning of April 24, 2021, 200,081 passengers have been monitored and screened."

The head of the Iranian Red Crescent Society also said: "During this period, 31,558 urgent tests and 1,028 PCR tests were taken from passengers suspected of developing corona disease, and 55 passengers were temporarily quarantined."

Valipour emphasized: “This project is being implemented with the contribution of 431 operational forces in 16 provinces all across Iran."
