Iran news: According to an Iran Press report, Seyyed Abbas Salehi, minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance said in the student parliament on Sunday 14 October that we need to hear more of our children and teenagers in public, so the artistic creativity of the students and things they create in different art fields provides an opportunity to hear their voices.
He added that we should apply the language of art to transfer the contexts and this parliament must have an Art Commission which is very useful for the younger generation, helping them to nurture their talents.
Mohammad Bat'haei, Iranian minister of education was the other guest of the ceremony and said students must also learn and practice professional and economic skills in schools.
He added that we should consider different aspects of education, although training in the sciences is essential and integral, we must also pay more attention to economics education.
Iran's intelligence minister, Mahmoud Alavi was another guest at the ceremony, who delivered a speech and said our work must be based on knowledge, and planning with the science we learned at school.
Referring to the students present at the ceremony, he added that the science should be practical and your initiatives will effect 14 million students because you have been elected in a free and fair election. In the first place, you are required to use your collective intelligence to reach sensible collective decisions.
At the end of the ceremony students took the oath and were sworn in.
The students' parliament is the place for democracy in practice and self-confidence creation among students. In Iran members of the Student parliament are usually high school students.
