Iran/ According to Iran press report, during the ceremony, president Rouhani officially unveiled and inaugurated 59 educational projects in the quake-stricken areas of Kermanshah province in Western Iran. The newly-built schools in Kermanshah were officially inaugurated by president Rouhani in Tehran, through a video conference link.
Praising the efforts of those who are involved in the reconstruction of the earthquake-stricken areas of Kermanshah and saluting the departed souls of those who were martyred on Saturday in the Ahvaz terror attack, president Rouhani thanked all those who were involved in this great effort.
Iran's education minister, Seyyed Mohammad Bathaei also delivered a speech at the ceremony on Sunday. Education minister Bathaei said: "We start this new academic year with about 14 million school pupils and 1.7 million dedicated teachers".
14 million school students started the new school year on Sunday morning, with the symbolic ringing of a bell by president Hassan Rouhani.
