Iran Press/ Africa: Speaking to an assembly of followers in the Nigerian capital, Zakzaky emphasized that truth will ultimately triumph over oppression, regardless of how entrenched or powerful it may seem.
Truth Against Injustice
Sheikh Zakzaky reminded the audience of historical lessons, citing the resistance of Ahlulbayt (the Prophet's family) and their followers as an enduring example of how truth has persisted through centuries of oppression. Despite the forces of corruption and coercion that sought to suppress it after the Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) passing, Zakzaky said, the resilience of those aligned with justice ensured that the core teachings of Islam would survive and spread.
He warned of the "evil plots" of enemies seeking to sow division within the Muslim community. The enemies are working tirelessly to create conflicts among Muslims, distracting them from the real fight against injustice, he said, cautioning against falling into these traps.
Zakzaky identified the dual strategies of oppression: "hardware" and "software." The former, he explained, includes the physical tools of war—guns, bombs, and the machinery of destruction—used in violent campaigns across Palestine, Syria, and Lebanon.
The worst, however, is their 'software'—their attempts to corrupt the minds of the youth through drugs, misinformation, and by sowing discord within Muslims' ranks, he said.
Concluding his address, Sheikh Zakzaky reaffirmed his unwavering belief in the ultimate victory of truth over oppression. "No matter how long or powerful the forces of injustice appear, they will crumble. It is the divine will that justice will prevail," he said.
