Iran Press/ Middle East: Sayyid Badr Bin Hamad Bin Hamood Al Busaidi said on Wednesday that he welcomes his Iranian counterpart Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, who visits the Omani capital.
The Omani top diplomat also underlined that the two counterparts have held very useful talks, which would be in favor of Iran-Oman mutual ties, and that it would be fruitful for peace, security, and stability in the region and the world.
"Oman believes that the continuation of the current policy of Iran under President Ebrahim Raisi in terms of negotiations and consensus on disputed issues in the nuclear deal is wise and positive," the foreign minister said.
He added, "Muscat urges all sides to hold talks, because the policy would be in line with creating peace and security in the region and will provide regional nations with benefits on the basis of good neighborliness, and that we seek to reach such agreements via constructive negotiations."
During a meeting with Oman’s Sultan Haitham Bin Tariq Al-Said, the Iranian foreign minister presented an invitation letter from Iran's President Ebrahim Raisi to the Omani Sultan to pay a visit to Tehran.
Amir-Abdollahian and the Omani Sultan reviewed issues of bilateral importance. Both sides stressed the need for implementation of the agreements reached during a visit to Oman by President Raisi.
The two officials also underlined the significance of promoting all-out relations between the two neighboring countries in a different trade, economic, energy, tourism, and transportation areas.
The Omani Sultan expressed hope to pay an official visit to Tehran in the near future.
