Vienna (IP)- Iran's Minister of Economy, Ehsan Khandouzi, has suggested that the foreign currencies of Southern states should be utilized to strengthen their economies and prevent them from falling into the trap of global unilateralism.

Iran PressIran News: By maintaining their independence and avoiding sanctions, these states can become more resilient against economic shocks.

Speaking at the 44th annual meeting of OPEC fund ministers, Khandouzi emphasized that Iran's government is determined not to be sanctioned and will use neighboring countries and developing nations in Asia, Africa, and Latin America to achieve this goal.

The minister also stressed the importance of increasing the complexity index of Southern states' economies by diversifying their agriculture, industry, and mining sectors with high technology.

He added that the Iranian government is committed to learning from past vulnerabilities in financial, commercial, and currency policies to ensure a practical approach toward economic resilience.
