Iran Press/ Iran News: Iranian Health Ministry Spokeswoman Sima Sadat Lari said on Friday (August 21) that the total number of coronavirus cases in the country has reached 356,764.
Sima Sadat Lari said: "With 112 new deaths in the past 24 hours, the death toll from the virus has reached 20,376."
"Unfortunately, 2,206 new cases were diagnosed since yesterday, 1,071 of whom were hospitalized and the total number of COVID-19 patients reached 354,764," Lari said.
She also put the number of those who have so far recovered from the viral infection at 305,764. According to the spokeswoman, 3,794 patients are in critical condition.
The spokeswoman also added that 2,987,117 coronavirus diagnostic tests have been carried out in Iran so far.
