Iran Press/Iran news: Bahram Ghassemi slammed security accusations for harming Iran-EU long-standing ties, saying that no surprise to see such moves on behalf of the enemies.
Commenting on the claims laid by some German media about the arrest of an Afghan-German national for spying for the Iranian government, he rejected any link between the alleged individual and the Islamic Republic of Iran, saying that such accusations are made by those trying to harm Iran-EU relations at the sensitive juncture, according to an Iran Press report.

“We have said on several occasions long-standing ties between Iran and most of the European states, especially, members of Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), have enemies who will spare no effort to restrain such relations," he added.
German newspaper 'Handelsblatt' has recently claimed that the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) has exposed an Iranian spy in the German army.
The foreign ministry spokesman also commented on Iran-EU relations on October 31, when he said: "Whenever relations between Iran and the European Union begin to expand, invisible hands taking their cue from certain countries go to work, trying to harm these relations."

After withdrawing from the JCPOA, the US has consistently tried to persuade other parties, particularly the European, to withdraw from the agreement in various ways, including raising different allegations against Iran.
