Tehran (IP) - Iran's Minister of Oil said the explosions in the gas pipeline grid of the country were controlled thanks to the preparedness of the oil ministry's crew.

Iran PressIran news: On the sidelines of the cabinet session on Wednesday, Javad Owji told Iran Press in the early hours of the morning, when the gas pipelines network exploded in several places, the arrangement of the network was changed thanks to the preparation of operational teams that quickly arrived in place.

Owji said the enemy's sabotage was aimed at cutting off the gas flow across the country's large cities which will not happen thanks to the readiness of the technical staff of the ministry.

The incident had no casualties, he told Iran Press. 

Iran's oil minister said further that only some villages near the pipelines have already no gas which the staff has promised to reconnect them to the network before Wednesday noon.  

He recalled that such sabotage happened years ago in the 2010 winter when 4 pipelines yet did not let to the gas cut-off.

In an act of sabotage, some explosions happened in the gas pipeline network in Boroujen, central Iran, on Wednesday early morning.
