Iran Press/ Africa: The protesters carried along the Palestinian flag, photos of Al-Aqsa mosque, and resistance leaders including Imam Khomeini, Sayyed Ali Khamenei, and Qasem Soleimani. The protesters were also chanting Free Palestine and anti-Zionist slogans.
Earlier yesterday, the leader of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria, Sheikh Ibrahim Zakzaky called on the people of the West African country to present in the streets to express their support for Palestine.
A group called Jaish al-Qassem Soleimani (Soldiers of Qasem Soleimani) also participated in this demonstration
Lt. General Soleimani was the commander of IRGC Quds Force, who was assassinated in Iraq on the orders of former US President Donald Trump.
Ya'u Umar the commander of Jaish al-Qassem Soleimani said "Here is Jaish al-Qassem Soleimani. We named them Qasem Soleimani because America killed Shahid Soleimani, but despite killing him, we decided to name them after him to show that Qasem Soleimani is still alive. Qasem Soleimani was supporting Palestine we are also supporting Palestine. Whether America likes it or not, Quds must be returned to the Muslims."
Another female protester said" We are here to answer the call of Imam Khomeini who called us to support Palestine. "
Muhammad Habib Abdullahi in his interview with IranPress said we came out to show our solidarity with the people of Palestine. We want to show the people of Palestine that the world is with them. And this is a strong warning to Israel for its illegal occupation of Palestine. "
Habib said Qasem Soleimani was a strong leader, he's a role model and had shown that the people of Palestine must be freed from the illegal occupation of Israel."
On his side, the Chairman of Academic Forum, Bauchi State Chapter, Musa Bayi Muhammad said "Actually, Imam Khomeini as a symbol of unity, more than forty years ago he named the last Friday of Ramadan as Intrnational Quds Day to show the world that Israeli occupiers who used teargas, gun, and bombed against people of Palestine demolishing their houses must be confronted."
Our message to the U.S. and Israel is that they should know that for every action there must be a reaction. One day, one time people of Palestine will be liberated, and by Insha Allah in some years to come we will perform our prayers in Quds."
