Bauchi (IP)- Millions of faithful Muslims in Nigeria held a vibrant march on Wednesday and Thursday to celebrate Eid-ul-Maulud, the birth of the holy Prophet (PBUH).

Iran PressAfrica: According to Sunni scholars, the Holy Prophet (PBUH) was born on the 12 of Rabi' Al-Awwal while Shia scholars regard the 17th Rabi' Al-Awwal of the Islamic calendar as the accepted date.

In Bauchi State, millions of celebrants, on Thursday including Islamic school children, took to the streets wearing new clothes and holding banners and flags that contained names of the holy Prophet (PBUH), singing different songs praising him.

People also carried the banners and photos of the late founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran Imam Khomeini (RA), the leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, and the former IRGC Quds Commander, Lt. General Qasem Soleimani.

The Holy Prophet (PBUH) was the seal of the Prophets of Allah who was sent to mankind with the holy Quran and his teachings and practices forming the basis of Islamic religious belief.

The Holy Prophet (PBUH) demised at the age of 61 and left his daughter, Fāṭima bint Muḥammad, commonly known as Fāṭima al-Zahrā, whom through her, the dynasty and family line of the holy Prophet (PBUH) survived until now.
