Muslim community in Shanghai voices support for Iranians against coronavirus

Head of the Muslim community in Shanghai visited the Consulate-General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the city, expressing his sympathy and support for the Iranian people and government in the fight against the coronavirus.

Iran PressAsia: During the meeting, Sheikh Moussa hoped that the Iranians defeat the coronavirus by the grace of God.

He also handed over 30,000 masks donated by the Muslim community in Shanghai to the Consul-General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the city.

Consul-General of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Shanghai Ramezan Parvaz also pointed to the long-lasting relations of the Muslim community in Shanghai with Iran saying that with the outbreak of the coronavirus in China, Iranians were alongside the Chinese people based on Islamic teachings and the spirit of empathy between Iran and China has become real.

Parvaz called the US sanctions against the Islamic Republic of Iran at a time when there is a critical need for medicines and medical equipment to combat Coronavirus is a violation of basic human rights.

The Chinese government and people of Shanghai have so far sent four shipments of health and sanitary to the Iranian people to fight the coronavirus.
