Kuwait (IP)- Thousands of Muslims from Pakistan, Iran, and India attended the Muharram mourning rituals held in different mosques in Kuwait City, the capital of Kuwait.

Iran PressMiddle East: More than 1,300 years ago, in 61 AH, Imam Hussain (AS), a grandson of Islam's Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), and his 72 companions were martyred in the Battle of Karbala, in southern Iraq, after fighting courageously for justice against the much larger army of the Umayyad caliph, Yazid I.

In Shaban Salmiya Mosque, Hojjatoleslam Mohammad Askari Zaidi addressed the mourners and remembered the greatest sacrifice of Imam Hussain (AS) and his companions in Karbala.

Also, in Utrah al-Tahira Manqif Mosque, the scholars in the gatherings shed light on the life and sufferings of Ahul Bait (AS). 

Thousands of mourners participated in the gatherings and mourning for Imam Hussain (AS), his family, and companions. In the end, a wide arrangement was made for the mourners and attendees at all gatherings.
