Iran Press/ Europe: More than 1,300 years ago, in 61 AH, Imam Hussain (AS), a grandson of Islam's Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), and his 72 companions were martyred in the Battle of Karbala, in southern Iraq, after fighting courageously for justice against the much larger army of the Umayyad caliph, Yazid I.
According to IranPress correspondent, the Islamic Heritage Foundation in the center of Berlin hosts Muslims and lovers of the Holy Prophet's Progeny(PBUH) to mourn for Imam Hussain.
During the 10-day Ashura, the Islamic center is the venue for speeches and mourning for the martyrdom of Imam Hussain (a.s.) and his companions in the plain of Karbala.
Sheikh "Rafad Al-Tamimi," a cleric and speaker of the Islamic Heritage Center in Berlin, gives a speech about the importance of the Ashura uprising and its lessons for the mourners of Hosseini (PBUH) and the lovers of Ahl al-Bayt(PBUH).
