Mossad behind the assassination of Hezbollah commander

Middle East (IP) - Data gathered by Hezbollah indicates that Israeli intelligence agency Mossad is behind the assassination of a Hezbollah’s commander Muhammad Ali Yunis.

Iran PressMiddle East:  Muhammad Ali Yunis was chasing a terrorist when he was ambushed and attacked on in Zawtar town, south of Lebanon. 

His body was found on Saturday while wounded with bullets and knife, Janoubiyah base reported.

Based on Janoubiyah's reports, 3 cars confront the Hezbollah commander and his companion and opened fire on them, where the commander died at a place and his companion wounded.

Janoubiyah sources called the assassination of Yunis as a terrorist operation, saying had clues to the murder because of the sensitive case that Yunis was working on.

According to Lebanese news sources, Ali Mohammad Younis, a Hezbollah commander, was assassinated yesterday in the village near Nabatieh in southern Lebanon.

Hezbollah spokesman Mohammad Afif told that several teams were investigating the matter.

At the same time, some Israeli media outlets claimed that a Hezbollah security force in southern Lebanon, specialized in pursuing spies and Mossad agents, had been shot and stabbed to death.

Yet, there is no more information about this assassination but according to unofficial information, the commander was in charge of prosecuting the mercenaries and spies.
