The international contemporary art exhibition in Moscow, featuring works from 50 Iranian artists, was held as a potential gateway for Iranian artists into the Russian market, according to organizers.

Iran PressEurope:  The three-day event, which concluded on Sunday, October 27, 2024, offered Russian art enthusiasts a unique glimpse into Iranian contemporary art. A dedicated section within the Cosmoscow International Contemporary Art Fair showcased 59 paintings and 9 other artworks across five booths, all brought to Russia by four Iranian galleries.

Masoud Ahmadvand, Cultural Counselor at the Iranian Embassy in Russia, highlighted the diverse artistic styles of the featured Iranian artists, who blend religious motifs with traditional Iranian design. Ahmadvand noted that the artists’ works, deeply rooted in Iran’s rich cultural history and contemporary influences, have gained both national and international recognition.

The exhibition was organized in partnership with the Iranian Embassy’s Cultural Section in Moscow and supported by the Russian company Kulturing, which aims to foster cultural dialogue between Russia and Iran. The CEO of Kulturing emphasized the shared values of creativity, research, and cultural exchange between the two nations, expressing a mutual openness to friendship and collaboration.
