Iran Press/Europe: John Kerry, the former US secretary of state and Democratic presidential nominee, has been named a special envoy on the climate crisis under Joe Biden’s incoming administration.
"It'll be an honor to work with our allies and partners, alongside rising young leaders in the climate movement, to tackle the climate crisis with the seriousness and urgency it deserves," Mr. Kerry tweeted.
Former EU foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini, in answer to Kerry's tweet, said, "Great to have you back."
Former EU, Foreign Affairs head, has also told Amanpour she felt "relief at seeing America back" and says Europeans will feel "less lonely" come January.
She also had called the Trump presidency 'Difficult 4 years' with Trump.
