Iran Press/Iran news: "Today was the seventy-seventh week of the inauguration of the projects, which coincided with the National Day of Industry and Mine in Iran, and the projects that were inaugurated were related to the same field," said Hassan Rouhani.
The President said: "Our mines are one of the God-given blessings for the people of this country, let alone oil, which is also a mineral product of ours and is extracted from the underground, in the literal sense of the word, and the industries where mines exist are part of a lot of work being done in our country, and in terms of both employment and income, we are witnessing the supply of domestic needs and exports in this regard."
Elsewhere he also called the mines as the resources that play role in the employment of the youth.
He added: "When we look at previous years in the field of steel and other fields, we see that we had significant imports in the field of steel in the list of imports and exports, and today, thank God, we meet domestic needs."
He went on to elaborate further to call the fact that Iran is the tenth country in the field of steel and the seventh country in the field of copper as a source of pride.
US economic war fails to break Iran
Iran President also said that during the economic war the US wanted to break Iran through an economic blockade but it failed to do so due to people and the private sector's contribution.
Referring to the former US President Trump plan for Iran, Rouhani said: " They thought that when Iran could not import goods, there would be a famine and then the people would come out to protest and the system would have fallen."
He added: "The reason the United States failed was that we replaced the export of other goods with the export of oil."
He highlighted:" The economic war that Trump waged, put a lot of pressure on people, but in the manufacturing products they failed and they could not do it."
