Iran Press/ Iran news: In a telephone conversation with the Emir of Qatar on Monday, President Hassan Rouhani described efforts to establish peace and stability in the region as one of the main policies of the Islamic Republic of Iran, adding: "The main challenge of the region is the militarization of some countries and the Zionist regime, and we must try to get the region out of the militaristic situation."
The President of Iran stated: "The positions and policies of Iran and Qatar regarding stability and balance in the region are very close. It is necessary to strengthen the executive steps of the two countries with the help of other friends.
Rouhani praised the Qatari government's position on regional issues and stressed the need for dialogue and peaceful resolution of the crises, adding: Today, the atmosphere of moderation and rationality in the field of regional developments and the pursuit of political solutions to resolve the crises is felt more than ever.
The President of the Islamic Republic of Iran stated that Iran had used all its capacity to advance the United Nations efforts to establish peace in Yemen.
"The synergy of Muslim countries in resolving regional problems is a key goal for the Islamic Republic of Iran," He added.
Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, the Emir of Qatar, also described the relations between the two countries as very friendly and said: "We believe that there is no military solution to regional problems and conflicts. The best way to solve problems is through dialogue and political direction. We hope that all countries in the region will work to achieve peace and stability by strengthening cooperation."
