Tehran (IP) - Condemning the Israeli regime's attack on the Palestinian Al-Shifa Hospital, the Spokesman of Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs said some famous Western countries' support for the regime paved the way for brutal attacks on Gaza.

Iran PressIran news: The Israeli regime's forces pounded again the Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza early morning on Monday with artillery and air strikes.

In a statement on Monday, Nasser Kanani condemned the Israeli regime's barbaric attack on Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza and the medical staff, patients, and wounded in the hospital.

He referred to the Israeli massacre in Sabra and Shatila Camp in Lebanon and what is going on in the Gaza Strip as part of the Israeli regime's dark record which has received a due response from the international bodies but some of the Western countries have paved the way for the enhancement of the crimes against the Palestinian people.

"In the recent months that the Zionist genocidal machine has spared no effort to do any brutal action against the innocent Palestinian people in the largest open-air prison of the world, hospitals, medical centers, and medical personnel have been brutally attacked as their military targets," he recalled.

He said such tragedies as the attack on Al-Shifa Hospital are taking place as conventionally in all wars and conflicts, hospitals have been protected by international laws and have been declared inviolable sites.

"However, to the amazement of the world, Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza was attacked several times by the terrorist army of the Israeli regime, and its medical staff, patients, and wounded were killed and kidnapped," Nasser Kanaani pointed out.

Kanaani again called on the international community including the UN  and its Security Council to take measures to immediately stop the Israeli regime's genocide in Gaza.

It was on October 7 that the Palestinian Resistance carried out Operation Al-Aqsa Flood on the Israeli regime's forces in response to the regime's daily crimes against the Palestinian people during 75 years of occupation of Palestine since 1948.

To compensate for the scandalous failure, the regime has blocked Gaza's border crosses and is bombing the strip.

So far, from the beginning of the all-out war against Gaza, more than 31,700 people have been martyred and over 73,000 others have been wounded.

People in Gaza are simultaneously coping with both the Israeli strikes and the famine emerging out of the regime's war on Gaza.
