Iran Press/America: Saeed Khatibzadeh, who is in New York, referred to the UN General Assembly in New York on Tuesday and responded to the French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian's statement that a joint meeting on the Iran nuclear deal will be held, saying: "Foreign ministers have already expressed interest in this issue."
He added: "Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) will be one of the topics discussed by the foreign ministers present in New York, but a meeting with the P4+1 members is not on the agenda, and the meeting with the members of JCPOA will be bilateral."
Upon his arrival in New York to attend the 76th General Assembly of the United Nations, Iran's Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, said: "I hope we will use this opportunity to pursue a balanced foreign policy and active, dynamic, and intelligent diplomacy of the current administration in regulating and developing foreign relations with all regions of the world and targeted countries and have consultations and talks with counterparts."
Amir-Abdollahian added that he would use the opportunity of the presence of counterparts and high-ranking officials of the countries to attend about 50 meetings.
The 76th United Nations General Assembly is expected to begin Tuesday morning.
