UK (IP) - The Shia Muslims still could not celebrate the occasion of Eid al-Ghadir and perform rituals at the Islamic Center of England.

Iran PressEurope: Eid al-Ghadir marks the anniversary of the day when Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) named his cousin and son-in-law, Ali ibn Abi Talib (AS), as His Successor and the Head of the Muslim community.

For over one month, England's Islamic Center in London has been shut down due to the decision made by the Commission of Charity, which is affiliated with the British government.

They held the congregational prayer and Eid al-Ghadir celebration in the street, where the anti-Islamic elements tried to prevent them from having religious rituals by cursing Muslims and insulting the Islamic sanctities with the police just observing them.

Since the center has been closed, the Shia Muslims perform prayers and religious ceremonies in the street while surrounded by the British police.
