Iran Press/Iran news: A 4.5 magnitude earthquake hit Hojedk in southeastern province of Kerman early Sunday, Institute of Geophysics of the University of Tehran reported.
According to the Seismological Center of the Geophysics Institute of Tehran University, the tremor occurred at 0:42 hours local time (21:12 GMT) at the depth of 10 km underground.
The epicenter of the quake was located at 57.37 degrees longitude and 30.76 degrees latitude.
No report has so far been released on the likely casualties or damage to property.
Also a 4.5 magnitude earthquake hit Iran's Kermanshah Province on Sunday.
Iran sits on major fault lines and is prone to near-daily earthquakes.
