Iran Press/Iran news: Iran's Minister of Communications and Information Technology Mohammad Javad Azari-Jahromi said on Sunday that Iran detected foreign spying malware on the Government servers and the related suspects are under investigation.
The systematic cyber-attack on Iranian electronic government systems was discovered and foiled by Dejfa fortress, Jahromi wrote in his Twitter account, Iran Press reported.
This type of attack took place in the form of a well-known APT27 aiming to spy government information, he added.
Azari Jahromi said that victims of the attack have been identified and controlled and the suspects behind the cyberattack were "tracked".
Azari Jahromi had last Wednesday announced that a huge cyberattack organized by a foreign state had been thwarted by the country's powerful security shield.
"Recently, we faced a highly-organized and state-sponsored attack against the infrastructures of the electronic government and it was identified and repelled by the country's security shield," Azari Jahromi told reporters in a press conference in Tehran.
On Tuesday, the minister dismissed reports of hacking operations targeting Iranian banks, including local media reports that accounts of millions of customers of Iranian banks were hacked.205
