Lebanon's Hezbollah Secretary-General stated that the US considers demonstrations in Lebanon as a tool for exerting pressure on Iran, while Lebanon's rallies were not at all against Iran.

Iran Press/Middle East: Delivering a speech in Beirut, the Lebanese capital, on Friday 13th December, Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah noted that the US tries to exploit the demonstrations in Lebanon in favor of its interests and plots, and does not care about the demands of the demonstrators.

"Whenever Washington announced that it wants to help a party or pursues an issue in the world, beware that it is just for preserving its own interests," Nasrallah highlighted, noting that "the US' policy over global crises is not confined only to a specific region."

Hezbollah Secretary-General asserted that some of the US policies originate from its wrong intelligence calculations and assessments; maybe the US could exclude Hezbollah from Lebanon's government but it fails to expel the party from the parliament.

The US and Israeli regimes' aim is to exploit the demonstrations to solve their own problems, not to solve the problems of the Lebanese people, Nasrallah stated, noting that Hezbollah prides itself on being a threat to Israel.

Lebanon's Hezbollah Secretary-General stressed that no one must trust the US, because it has disappointed even its allies.

Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah said that those who pinned hope that the US will solve their problems are still coping with the previous problems, noting that the Lebanese problems do not root from their pluralism but from division.

Nasrallah referred to Iran and asserted that the country will not keep silent against any aggression stressing that Iran has its own crushing response in the face of others' evil measures.

Lebanon's Hezbollah Secretary-General also pointed out to the resignation of Sa'ad Harriri's cabinet and underlined that Lebanese Prime Minister's government had better remain in the power and the demonstrations were continuing so that would force the cabinet to fulfill the Lebanese people's demands via reforms.

He then stated that Lebanon, with its current situation, could not bear out a monolithic government and that Hezbollah advocates a government consisting of different parties, stressing national responsibility.
