Iran Press/Iran news: Attending the event, Mohsen Ghanei, head of the Human Rights Commitment Development Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said: "The United Nations and specialized agencies affiliated with the UN have specific laws regarding women, such as preventing violence against women, which were ignored during the Israeli attacks on Gaza, Lebanon, and Palestine."
Expressing the fact that the concept of human rights at the international level has been continuously abused by some Western countries as a tool for exerting political pressure on independent developing countries, Mohsen Ghanei considered the dual and hypocritical approach of the United States and its Western allies in this regard to be a cause of the humiliation of the lofty concepts of human rights and stated that now, with the genocide of Palestinians in Gaza and the support of the United States, Britain, Canada, Germany, and some other Western countries for the occupying regime, there is no longer any doubt in this regard.
He emphasized: "The continued indifference and inaction of the Security Council is one of the main reasons for the crimes of the Israeli regime."
The secretary of the event, and the Director of the Social Harms Group of the Research Center of the Parliament, Fatemeh Mohammadi, also addressed the brutal crimes of the Israeli regime and said: "The issue of Palestine and Gaza has involved the entire human society."
Mohammadi noted: "The genocide that we have witnessed in Gaza and Lebanon in the past few months means the use of women as a tool because the international community has remained silent in the face of these crimes."
She emphasized that at the same time as these crimes, an Islamic awakening occurred, which caused people around the world, especially students, to unite their voices with the people (women and children) of Gaza and Palestine, which was remarkable and admirable.
