Iran Press/ Iran news: Ayatollah Khamenei said: "Times and again it has been noted that the Islamic Republic is in an offensive position not in a defensive one, because the West must be held accountable for crushing women's self-esteem and honor."
Ayatollah Khamenei made the remarks as he received the organizers of the second edition of the National Congress of Hamedan Martyrs, held on Sunday, October 8.
He referred to the artworks seeking to show the absence of contrast between Islam and nationality using the path of martyrs, noting: "Since the beginning of the Islamic Revolution, some tried to polarize Islamism and nationality, while the martyrs clearly showed the falseness of the temptation."
He pointed out that those nationalists advocating Iran either crept into their homes or escaped the country, yet these were the very Muslim guys and the now-martyrs that defended Iran against the enemy's invasion and proved that Iran and Islam are a unified truth.
Ayatollah Khamenei stressed that whoever is a true believer and revolutionary would by nature defend their country and said that enhanced attention should be paid to the artistic aspect in conveying the martyrs' messages to the hearts, and not suffice to superficial works.
