Tabriz (IP) - The Museum of Gifts to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution of Iran in the city of Khameneh in the central district of Shabestar County, East Azerbaijan Province, is an attractive and spectacular museum for tourists in northwestern Iran.

Iran PressIran News:  The city of Khameneh is located six kilometers northwest of Shabestar city and 72 kilometers from Tabriz, the capital of East Azerbaijan province.

Khameneh in the Safavid and Qajar historical periods was one of the important places of the "Arvanagheh" historical region.

The city of Khameneh is the birthplace of Ayatollah Haj Seyyed Javad Khamenei, the late father of the Islamic Republic of Iran's Leader, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei.

The Khameneh Gifts Museum was established in 2007 at a historic building in the city and includes some of the gifts of the leaders of Asian, African, European, and Latin American countries to Ayatollah Khamenei.

Gifts from the leaders of various countries, including Pakistan, North Korea, Japan, Argentina, Oman, and the gift of Yasser Arafat, the late head of the Palestinian Authority, to the Iranian leader are kept in the Khameneh Museum.

Khameneh Gifts Museum is a tourist attraction in East Azerbaijan province.

The Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran met with the people of Khameneh in August 1993 during a trip to East Azerbaijan Province and spoke in Azeri about the unforgettable memories of the people of this historic city.
